Divergent connectivity

Opening night: April 5, 2019 7 pm

Running through April 2019

Exhibit Description

Lotus Art Gallery presents a collaboration of the divergent minds. It is an exhibit which focuses on art created solely by our current Artists in Residency. THIS EXHIBIT invites YOU to Come and EXPERIENCE reflections from YOUR soul.

Amaury Fortuna, Sherry Goguen,  Jay Dontae and Denise Van Domselaar have spent hours at the art gallery working on their art and meeting with people. The one thing they all noticed, while doing live art, is the essence or importance of the INTERACTION between their ART their AUDIENCE.

They all agreed that it is difficult to describe art, not only because a picture speaks louder than words, but also because it is the audience plays an important part in doing so.

Art comes to life when experienced” ~Lotus Art Gallery Curator.

Resident Artist noticed that people will always INTERPRET ART DIFFERENTLY, it is in-fact subjective, but they should know how important they are. People’s INTERACTION with art gives Artists a SENSE of PEACEFULNESS and ART then comes to life. That interaction is like a mirror and in that there is DIVERGENT CONNECTIVITY.

As a result, THIS EXHIBIT invites YOU to Come and experience REFLECTIONS from YOUR soul and meet these artists during their artist hours at the gallery. We hope that you will enjoy their live art presentations.

Schedule of the Live Art Presentations:

Jay will be presenting “Escapism” (not present, except during the opening night)

Denise will be presenting “we are nature “ on Wednesdays 12-6pm

Sherry will be presenting “the connection”  on Thursdays 5-8pm

Amaury Fortuna will be presenting “the lesson”  on Saturdays 12-5pm

Each artist invites you to consider his or her work as a mirror reflecting unique perspective on how divergent views and styles connect in a common theme of the “soul”.

  • Do you see aspects of yourself in their expressed perspectives?

  • Does the artist’s interpretation of soul engage your own?

  • Where do you connect? Disconnect? What might you add to the dialogue?

  • Who or what do you see?

The art work focuses on expressionism in various styles and varies in sizes and value.

These are all ORIGINAL PIECES. All rights are reserved to each artist.
