1) Distancing Measures:

Lotus restaurant is operating in half capacity until further notice and half of our tables are marked as out of order to maintain 2 meters between our customers. We guide our customers to proper tables ourselves to ensure to maintain the proper distance and proper signs have been installed to inform customers about this rule as well. Also, we are maintaining the number of our customers all the time to make sure half capacity has not been exceeded. If the number of customers has been reached to the half capacity limit, we asked new customers politely to stay out of the building till when the appropriate capacity is satisfied again. We are taking these measures to protect the safety of our customers and staff.

2) Cleaning:

Chairs and tables will be fully cleaned and sanitised as soon as the customers leave their tables before letting new customers settle in the same table. We are cleaning our washrooms after each use to provide a safe experience for our customers. We have provided sanitizing wipes on our reception desk for use of our customers to reduce the risk of COVID- 19 spread as well. We fully clean our debit machines after each transaction and we let all of our employees to wash their hands frequently and ensure to maintain all business surfaces clean and safe to touch for all of our customers and employees.

3) Screening for Symptoms:

The sign has been installed notifying our customers and employees to not enter if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as fever and cough. We are asking our employees to stay home if they feel sick as well and do not get back to work till, they feel completely well or within 14 days whichever is more. We had a general meeting with our team members to ensure they are familiar with COVID-19 symptoms. Our manager has the right to ask any employee to go home if he thinks they are not feeling well without any further communication with the business owner. We have changed our sick notification policy in order to enable our team members to notify us about their sickness as little as 30-minute notice.

4) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

We are a small business and we believe providing a 2-meter distance between our customers is always possible. We are not letting more customers in the building if providing 2-meter distance is not possible. We are serious about our customers` health and we take all measures seriously to provide a safe and healthy place for all of our customers and team members. We have extra plastic gloves for use of our customers and team members if needed.

5) Responsibilities:

Our small business is a family run business and all of our team members are helping to ensure following the rules and instructions, but the owner of the business is the sole responsible for ensuring everything is according to prepared plans/directions to help to flat the COVID-19 curve. In the absence of the owner, it's our head chef responsibility to make sure everything is following the plans. All of our team members' contact details are updated and the business management team can easily find all of the members. We are taking the measures seriously and the owner penalizes who are not following our rules and plans. These penalties may vary from a warning to firing a guilty person depending on the fault.
