 Description:

Tololwa will share a story and then lead workshop participants through a practical story activity, both as a means of reflecting collectively on loss, longing, and the quest for home and belonging.

 o   Presentation and Poetry by Jennifer Summerfeldt , Author, MACP, CCC (8:15-9:00 pm)

 Description:

Using spoken word as an artistic platform, Jennifer weaves together poetry, journal entries, and professional philosophy to speak about the soul of grief.

 o  Presentation and Storytelling by Michelle Newlands (9:00-9:45 pm)

 Description:

Through a blend of storytelling mediums, Michelle explores concepts of home in relation to longing to belong, and invites each of us to reflect on our power to re-write our narrative.

o  Bar snacks, Tea Bar and wine will be available throughout the evening (7-10 PM)

 Description:

Join us for a moderated panel discussion with members of the Edmonton community from diverse backgrounds about their cultural identities, self-perceptions, and experiences living in Canada. The panel will explore the complexities surrounding people’s identities while deconstructing, reconciling and bridging interrelated aspects such as heritage, home, belonging and diaspora. The discussion will also include a Q&A segment for the audience to engage with panelists and share their own personal narratives.

Bar snacks, Tea bar and wine will be available at Lotus Café throughout the evening (7-10 PM)
