Acrylic brush strokes & color

A Professional Artist will guide you during a two day workshop. You will learn the basics of painting: mixing colour, basic expression, how to compose, brush strokes and working with acrylics.

Capture your movement & colours into a simple composition of a landscape.

**This is the reference painting you will be working towards. It is titled “Waterfalls in colour” by Mariam Qureshi**

The instructor has been painting since a very young age and has been teaching privately for over 3 years. Some of her paintings were exhibited at the Musee de Louvre for a Contemporary Temporary Exhibit and she has won several Art Awards in Canada and from the City of Edmonton.

She also offers one-on-one lessons based on your skill level, but this workshop will be organized in a group setting of beginners and intermediate painters.

Class Schedule:
Day 1 (Saturday April 6: 2-5pm)

Learn about Brushes, brush strokes, acrylic paint, mixing colour, Basic expressive lines and how to prepare the canvas for painting. All materials will be provided.

Day 2 (Sunday April 7: 1-4pm)

Painting to finish (the under layers, creating reference points for composition, Applying your movement, adding light, colour & the finishing touches).

Cost is $120 per person for both days (all materials are included in the lesson).
